La Nucía Hosts Historic Meeting to Discuss National Combat Sports Center and Games

This Tuesday, La Nucía was the meeting point of the seven Spanish Combat Sports Federations (Fencing, Kickboxing, Karate, Judo, Taekwondo, Wrestling and Boxing). Precisely the objective of the meeting, which was attended by the municipality’s government team, was to study the implementation of a “National Technique Center for Combat Sports”. For his part, José Hidalgo, President of ADESP, explained: “It is a project that was born from the public and private collaboration, is very unique because it absorbs the best of both areas, and aims to provide the Combat Federations with a common space for the training and technical development of athletes. And the fact that all the Combat Federations of our country want to make it a reality, It seems to me that it is a very significant advance for Federated Sports”.

In addition to Hidalgo, Jesús Eguía, President of the Spanish Kickboxing and Muaythai Federation, participated on behalf of the Federations; Felipe Martínez, President of the Spanish Boxing Federation; Jesús Castellanos, President of the Spanish Taekwondo Federation; Francisco Javier Iglesias, President of the Spanish Olympic Wrestling Federation; Gonzalo González Taboada, Manager of the Spanish Judo Federation; Antonio García, General Director of the Spanish Fencing Federation; and Francisco González, on behalf of the Spanish Karate Federation.
