Kirchbach Judokas Shine at Styrian Championships U14 & U18

St. Peter, Ottersbach, Austria – The Kirchbach Judo Club swept the Styrian Championships U14 and U18 competitions, walking away with two gold, four silver, and three bronze medals, and claiming victory in the U14 class.

Under-14 Class Dominance

The Kirchbach athletes dominated the U14 class, with all five participants earning medals. Mathilde Grasser and Yaroslav Burzyak Klymovych secured gold in their respective weight classes, while Johannes Archan and Marie Irandokoye won silver. Josuah Grasser rounded off the team’s success with a bronze medal.

Under-18 Success

In the U18 age group, Patrik Reicht was the sole Kirchbach starter. Despite the tough competition, he fought exceptionally and claimed the silver medal.

General Class Medalists

In the general class, the Kirchbach judokas focused on the weight class up to 73 kg. Patrik and Daniel Reicht, Mario Kickmaier, and Christoph Gangl represented the club. Meanwhile, Dominic Reicht, Martin Pilich, and Christian Schaffhauser competed in the weight class up to 81 kg. Steffi Archan was the Kirchbach participant in the weight class up to 70 kg.

Christoph Gangl won silver, while Mario Kickmaier and Martin Pilich secured bronze medals in their respective categories.

Final Home Competitions Approaching

“Our focus is now on the Styrian team championships on November 8, 2025, here in Kirchbach. Additionally, the final of the Judo Vulkanland Cup will take place a day later in our home hall. Our athletes are putting in their best efforts during training to give their all in these home competitions,” said the club’s chairman.
