Killeagh, yet to win before this meeting, never looked in doubt as they led by six points at the break, 1-12 to 0-9, thanks to an opportunistic goal from Matthew Murphy just before half-time.

On the restart, Dan Landers pounced on a loose ball and scored Killeagh’s second goal, pushing the lead to 13 points. Carrigtwohill mounted a spirited comeback, revived by Cillian Barry’s impressive eight points and Mark O’Connor’s 1-4, including a well-taken goal.
