[Epoch Times September 6, 2024](Epoch Times reporter Xu Naiyi, Taiwan report) In order to allow freshmen to familiarize themselves with the environment as early as possible, complete admission preparations, adapt to campus life, and integrate into the Kainan University family, Kainan University planned the “Kainan University Strong Baseball ~ Kainan University 113th New Admissions Orientation” event on the 6th, welcoming freshmen with a lively Kainan University Baseball Day. Seniors played the role of team managers, and freshman mentors played the role of coaches, leading freshmen into the field and heading to another stadium in life.
The event was opened with Principal Lin Yuexiu as the starting pitcher, Dean Xiao Junhua and the school cat Xiao Zhenzhu as the backup pitchers, Vice Principal Guo Jinyuan as the hitter, Vice Principal Lai Yuanhui as the catcher, and the competitive cheerleading team, who all threw the first pitch together.

Lin Yuexiu and the faculty also transformed into a choir to perform, making the event lively and interesting. Each freshman will receive a game ticket and a cheering fan from the Student Union. With the ticket, they can watch the club performances and participate in the lucky draw. In addition, the five major clubs set up stalls to recruit students in conjunction with the club expo planned by the Student Union, wishing the freshmen a brand new start after entering school.
