K-State Volleyball Bolstered by Transfers Fuka Sekita and Camdyn Stucky
– Kansas State University’s volleyball team has secured two powerful additions to its 2026 roster in the forms of experienced transfers Fuka Sekita and Camdyn Stucky, as announced by head coach Jason Mansfield. These strategic signings are set to bolster the Wildcats’ lineup and inspire high expectations for the upcoming season.
Fuka Sekita: A Libero/Defensive Specialist Phenom
Sekita, a 5-foot-1 dynamic libero/defensive specialist from Hyogo, Japan, is joining K-State for her senior season after leaving a notable mark at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). In her lone season with the Miners, Sekita showcased her exceptional skills, anchoring the defense with an impressive 3.64 digs per set, the seventh-best mark in Conference USA.
“We are so excited to welcome Fuka to our K-State Volleyball family. She is a quick, fearless defender who is incredibly skilled as a passer, server, and setter. Fuka is driven to be the best she can be, has a deep love for the game of volleyball, and will bring a great deal of experience and passion to our team.”
Prior to her stint at UTEP, Sekita earned NJCAA First Team All-American and AVCA Second Team All-American honors during her time at New Mexico Military Institute. Her outstanding performances there also secured her the 2023 Western Junior College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and 2024 WJCAC Conference Most Valuable Player titles.
Camdyn Stucky: A Dynamic Setter Returning Home
Stucky, a 6-foot-3 setter, is returning to her home state of Kansas after serving as a redshirt freshman at the University of Tennessee. Although her time there was limited, Stucky appeared in seven matches, demonstrating her potential with five kills, three assists, and two blocks.
“We are so excited to welcome Camdyn to our K-State Volleyball family. She is a long, dynamic athlete with great hands who can play the entire game at a high level. Camdyn is strong in her faith, and family means everything to her. We love having another Kansas kid in our program.”
Before committing to Tennessee, Stucky was a standout two-sport athlete at Maize South High School in Wichita, excelling in both volleyball and softball. Her exceptional senior campaign with the Mavericks earned her a spot on the Kansas 5A State Tournament All-State Team and a third-place finish in the state tournament. Stucky finished the season with an impressive 935 assists, 207 digs, and 173 kills.
