With goals from Julian Garbino y David Fernandezboth in the second half, General Paz Juniors beat Amsurrbac 2-0 and was crowned champion of the 2024 Cordobesa League.
The match was played with both fans at the Instituto stadium and served to crown the best of the campaign in the highest division.
Juniors reached this decisive stage after a magnificent year. The “Poeta”, as the team is known, became champion of Zone A in both the Apertura and Clausura Tournaments, demonstrating great solidity throughout the year.
This was the third final that Juniors played in the last four years, managing to lift the trophy three times.
For its part, Amsurrbac earned its place in the final after beating Barrio Parque 2-1 on the last date of the Clausura Tournament. “Green” finished in first place in Zone A with 40 points, which reflects its great performance throughout the championship.
Juniors is also playing the Regional Amateur, a competition in which this weekend they will face Escuela Presidente Roca.
