TFFJW Judo Festival Draws Competitors of All Ages
The TFFJW Judo Festival took place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in New City, attracting judo practitioners of all ages. The event, designed to promote the art of judo thru a skills competition
, featured divisions for competitors as young as three years old and extending to adults.
Competitors participated in skills competitions involving three Nage wazas (standing throws) performed in both directions. Randori (matches) were also held for certain age groups. Entry fees for all divisions were $60.

- Bantam (3-4 yrs) – Skills Competition
- Bantam (5-6 yrs) – Skills Competition
- Bantam (7-8 yrs) – Skills Competition & Randori
- Bantam (9-10 yrs) – Skills Competition & Randori
- Intermediate (11-12 yrs) – Skills Competition & Randori
- Juvenile (13-16 yrs) – Randori & Skills Competition
- Adults (17+) – Randori & Skills Competition
Prisons Secure Victory at Japanese Ambassador’s Cup
In international competition, Prisons emerged as the champions of the 2026 Japanese Ambassador’s Cup national judo tournament, held on Saturday at Kasarani Gymnasium.
USA Judo National Championships on the Horizon
Looking ahead, USA Judo has several national championships scheduled throughout 2026. The USA Judo Youth National Championships are set to take place on March 14-15, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. Further events include the Senior National Championships in May and the Junior Olympic National Championships in June.
