Millonarios FC Faces Setback Ahead of Match Against América de Cali
Everything is ready… or was in the case of Millonarios, as they prepare to face América de Cali in the home runs of the Betplay II League 2023.
A Notable Absence
Hours before the match at El Campín, the local team has reported a significant absence that undoubtedly affects their plans.
Juan Carlos Pereira’s Injury
This absence is due to Juan Carlos Pereira, who has been unable to train properly since the first leg of the Betplay Cup final and has ultimately failed to recover.
“Millonarios FC reports that Juan Carlos Pereira has a hamstring contracture in his right leg, which is why he is not available for the game against América. The player is already working on his recovery,” the club announced on its social media.
Coach Gamero’s Strategy
Coach Gamero has made the decision to rely on Larry Vásquez and Steven Vega, along with David Mackalister Silva, to compensate for Pereira’s absence. Vega, who usually plays as a right back, will be replaced by Perlaza in that position.

It’s unfortunate to hear about Juan Carlos Pereira’s injury for Millonarios FC. Hoping for a speedy recovery! The team will need to adapt and make some lineup changes to face América de Cali. Good luck to both teams in the upcoming game.
I hope Juan Carlos Pereira recovers quickly from his injury. It’s unfortunate that Millonarios FC had to make lineup changes for the game against América de Cali, but I’m confident they will still give a strong performance. Wishing the team the best of luck!
