Joachim Gerard will participate in the Wheelchair Tennis Masters, scheduled for November 11 to 18 in Arnhem in the Netherlands, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) confirmed on Thursday.
Gerard, 35, will participate in the traditional end-of-season tournament for the 10th time in his career. The Walloon Brabançon has won the Masters four times in 2015 and 2016 in London then in 2018 and 2019 in Orlando. He also won it in doubles in 2014 alongside Frenchman Stéphane Houdet.
Gerard, 7th in the world, will be accompanied in Arnhem by the Japanese Tokito Oda, world No.1 and Paralympic champion, the British Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid, the Spaniard Martin de la Puente, the Argentinian Gustavo Fernandez, the Dutchman Tom Egebrink and Houdet .
Joachim Gerard, who will end his career at the end of 2025, remains eliminated in the second round of the Paris Paralympic Games.
