Jheniffer Highlights Mexican Football’s Growth, Previews Upcoming Matches

Brazilian forward Jheniffer Cordinali, currently playing for Tigres UANL, has praised the rapid development of women’s football in Mexico. She is set to represent the Brazil women’s national team in upcoming friendlies against Venezuela and Mexico on Mexican soil.

Rising Competition in Liga MX Femenil

Jheniffer arrived in Mexican football in January 2025, joining the Tigres team. She attributes her move to the increasing quality of the league. Mexican football has been growing a lot, which was the main reason I came here. It’s a very physical football that has improved a lot technically. Many Brazilian women are coming here and are able to look at Mexican football in a different way, and I’m happy about that too, she stated.

Passionate Fan Support

The Brazilian international also highlighted the enthusiastic support of Mexican fans for women’s football.

I confess that they are very passionate about football. They support it a lot and I notice that, as the year goes on, they are following it even more, not only in finals and classics, but in all games.

Upcoming International Challenges

The Brazilian team, coached by Arthur Elias, will first face Venezuela on Wednesday, March 4th, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time) at the Mexican Federation Training Center in Toluca. Jheniffer then looks ahead to a challenging match against Mexico on Saturday, March 7th, at 8:00 pm (Brasília time) at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes in Mexico City.

I believe it will be a very difficult game, a very physical duel. It will be an important challenge for us, to grow and help us achieve our goal up front, Jheniffer commented.
