Sony is facing a difficult time in Japan. The latest Japan-Charts show that customers reacted poorly to the price increase of PlayStation 5 consoles and accessories, as expected. After the price increases were announced, many tried to find some kind of bargain. That has now come to an end and hardware sales have fallen to a third of their previous level. Even the highly acclaimed Astro Bot could not change that, coming in second in the software rankings with less than thirteen thousand units. Top-ranked Nintendo Switch releases include Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost and Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. Here you can see the full list for the period from September 2nd to 8th.

A bold mark indicates a new release that is being counted for the first time. The data are only estimates of the physical copies of the game sold.
