Event Details and Closing Ceremony Highlights

The seven-day International Yoga Day Festival at Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh concluded on a high note last Saturday. Hosted by Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President of Parmarth Niketan, the event brought together seekers from around the world to participate in yoga and meditation activities, celebrating the profound impact of yoga on mental and physical well-being.

Swami Chidanand Saraswati emphasized the core message of yoga: “Yoga is dedication to humanity. It fosters total unity across the globe.” He concluded the event by highlighting that the closing ceremonies feature the renowned singer Kailash Kher and a special Ganga Aarti, with Kailash sharing his inspiring thoughts—”Live for your goal. Two types of people exist: those who dream and those who do. To truly excel, you must blend your dreams with your actions and knowledge.”

Honoring Outstanding Contributions and Celebrity Presence

During the festival, several notable figures were honored. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Seni) of Uttarakhand, accompanied by Governor Mata Ji and Bhole Ji Maharaj, founders of Hans Foundation, received the Ganga Award for their outstanding services and contributions. The esteemed guests, including Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Mata Shri Mangla, Premababa, Padshree Shivamani, and Sufi singer Runa Rizvi, attended the closing ceremony.
