The 40th edition of the International Friendship Tournament for Minors wrapped up today, with the challenging Sierra de los Padres Golf Club playing host. The event, held annually in February since 1987, saw over 170 golfers compete, with teams from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Paraguay battling it out.
Individual Champions Pace the Field
In the Men’s category, Maitri Peychaux from Brazil and Franco Fernández Alberti of the Abril Club de Campo topped the leaderboard. Their impressive gross score earned them not only the championship crown but also valuable World Amateur Ranking (WARG) points.
Mar y Sierras Sweeps Team Competition
The Mar y Sierras Regional Golf Federation finished atop the team standings, with Umma Deprez and Fermín Guerendiain forming the championship duo.

Tournament(format): A Challenging Yet Enjoyable Experience
The course demanded the best from all participants, with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures providing ideal conditions for the three-day tournament. Night games led by Jorge Bollini, coach of the Argentine Golf Association, added a unique twist to the event.
Everyone is invited to play the Amistad Tournament again in February 2027,
said Marcelo Serfaty, president of the Sierra de los Padres Golf Club, marking the end of the awards ceremony.
