Badminton Returns to India: Redrawn Teams Ready to Challenge

In a reshuffle following the withdrawal of the Cook Islands, the World Junior Badminton Championships Mixed Team event has an updated field.

Host India, seeded second, faces a new set of opponents in Group H; the United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka join Nepal for the qualifying stage in Guwahati from October 6-19.

  • other top seeds like Thailand (Group A), Indonesia (Group F), China (Group D), and South Korea (Group G) have also been reassigned groups.

India’s Manisha Bhanwala remained in medal contention via repechage after an early exit in the World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.
