Mito City, Japan – Basketball enthusiasts, mark your calendars! An exciting basketball clinic is set to take place on Sunday, December 21st, offering young players the chance to enhance their skills and learn from a seasoned coach. The event will be held at the M-SPO Udom Arena in Mito City.
What to Expect?
- Part 1: “Shoot” (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
Coach Shibata kicks off the clinic with a focus on improving shooting skills. Learn how to self-correct and create reproducible form for consistent shots. - Part 2: “Finish Variations” (1:30 PM – 3:00 PM)
Dive into various finishing techniques around the basket. Discover how to effectively score in the paint despite defensive pressure. - Part 3: “1on1 Tactics” (3:30 PM – 5:00 PM)
Put your new skills to the test in practical 1on1 games. Learn to outsmart your opponent and find solutions on your own.
Event Details
- Target Age: Boys and girls from 5th grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of junior high school with basketball experience.
- Capacity: 25 people per division, first come first served.
- Minimum Participants: 10 people per part.
- Coach: Masaaki Shibata, Ibaraki Robots School Coach and Youth Support Coach, with an impressive teaching history and JBA certified A-class coach qualification.
- Participation Fee: ¥3,500 per part (tax included), or ¥9,000 for all three parts (tax included). Payment via PayPay only.
- Venue: M-SPO Udom Arena, 3-6-8 Minamicho, Mito City.
- Belongings: Basketball, shoes, towel, drink, change of clothes, and cold weather wear.
How to Apply?
Applications are open until Wednesday, December 17, 2025, on a first come first served basis. Send the completed application form within the specified period. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful application.
Things to Note
- The height of the ring is 305cm (general).
- Parents are welcome to observe.
- Video recording is allowed but please refrain from disseminating on SNS.
