Igor Rakocevic – winner of three Alphonso Ford trophies in his career and also seen in Italy with the Siena shirt – used his profile on X to express his country’s opinion on the EuroLeague season. “What very high-quality EuroLeague playoff games! Of the four duels, three were decided in Game 5, and the other pairing probably would not have ended 3-0 if Baskonia’s best player [Markus Howard] he wasn’t injured,” he began.

The former Baskonia, Real Madrid and Crvena Zvezda guard added that the games were characterized by “fantastic defense, a lot of tactics, fighting for every ball and a crowd that understands basketball and actively participates.” And again: “Coaches who adapt tactics and changes on the fly, every minute. The involvement of all the players from the bench, emotions, intensity. And, as if that wasn’t enough, two participants in the Final Four who ensure passage to Game 5 in away. The EuroLeague is by far the best basketball in the world for some time.”
