The ICC has penalized India’s Mohammad Siraj and Australia’s Travis Head for aggressive behavior on the field in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Both were found guilty and fined as well as punished by cricket’s highest governing body.
In this unsportsmanlike incident, however, Siraj was punished more. 20 percent of Indian pacer’s match fee has been deducted. Head has been warned. Along with that, demerit points have been added next to the names of the two.
The incident started when Siraj’s ball was headed out. Head played a brilliant innings of 140 runs in the Adelaide Test. He was the thorn in India’s path. Siraj became aggressive with the wicket of the head. He ordered to go to the dressing room. The head also gets angry, either verbally or verbally.
Siraj was fined 20 percent of his match fee after being found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct in connection with the verbal altercation. Head has been penalized for breaching Section 2.13 of the Code of Conduct.
After a miserable defeat in Perth, Australia won the Adelaide Test by 10 wickets. India set a target of only 19 runs to the hosts. Ajira easily passed that goal and took the win.
