CSKA Moscow Basketball Team announced that it appointed Andreas Pistolis, who also coached Galatasaray for a period, as the head of the team.

Greek Andreas Pistolis was appointed as the head coach of Russia’s CSKA Moscow Basketball Team.

In the statement made by the club, it was announced that an agreement was reached with 45-year-old Pistolis until the end of the season for the head coach position vacated by Emil Rajkovic.

He coached Galatasaray

Pistolis, who previously worked as an assistant coach at CSKA Moscow for 8 years, had his first head coaching experience by working at Galatasaray, where he signed in 2022, for about a year.

They were matched against Enisey in the play-offs

CSKA Moscow, which continued its journey only in the VTB League since Russian clubs were not included in the EuroLeague, finished the regular season in 3rd place and was matched with Enisey in the first round of the play-offs.
