Governor Balcı Highlights Importance of Sports Investments in Van: Boosting Youth Engagement in Athletics

In his speech at the ceremony, Governor Balcı emphasized the importance of sports and stated that they have achieved good work in many areas throughout the province. He stated that this is one of the most important sports investments that young people and children are interested in.

He said that they started the “Sports Van” project and the aim is to encourage every child to be interested in a branch of sports. Governor Balcı stated that, in addition to their efforts to strengthen the sports infrastructure, they provide sports equipment support to schools and make an effort to introduce children to sports. He also thanked those who contributed and talked about the investments made in sports infrastructure.

Governor Balcı gave information about the investments made in sports infrastructure. In this context, he announced that 300 volleyball and basketball courts were added to schools, 75 astroturf fields are under construction, there are 23 sports halls and 5 sports halls within an athlete factory. He also stated that 13 swimming pools and complexes with astroturf pitches, basketball and volleyball courts and tennis courts have been created in 13 districts.

Governor Balcı emphasized the importance of sports investments and stated that more investments should be made. He added that with these investments, children and young people in Van will achieve many successes both locally and nationally.

After the opening ceremony, Governor Balcı watched the demonstration matches held on the volleyball and basketball courts and congratulated the students for their success. The ceremony ended in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
