  • Goh Sze Fei – Nur Izzuddin Rumsani: The world No. 1 pair overcame compatriots Nur Azriyn Ayub-Tan Wee Kiong in a thrilling 3-game match, 21-14, 16-21, 21-14. They’ll next face Indonesia’s Pitaah Bagas Maulana-Rahmat Hidayat.

  • Chen Tang Jie – Toh Ee Wei: The second seeds lived up to expectations by ousting Denmark’s Mads Vestergaard-Christine Busch 21-9, 21-12. They’ll next meet another Danish pair, Jesper Toft-Amalie Magelund.

Women’s Doubles Power

After staging a strong comeback, Pearly Tan – M Thinaah secured their quarter-final spot with a victory over Indonesian pair Lanny Tria Mayasari-Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti 18-21, 21-16, 21-17.
