The Foyer rural du Carla Bayle held its annual general meeting, in the presence of Departmental Councilor Muriel Freyche and the mayor, Jean François Sans. In his speech, the president of this thriving association, Francis Sans, recalled that with 75 members, the Foyer Rural had as many members as when it was created, 35 years ago. It offers a large number of activities, whether sporting (badminton, walking, pétanque, etc.) or more cultural (outdoor cinema, etc.). We are also witnessing, something rare enough to be noticed, a rejuvenation of its members, notably through badminton. We also note a partnership with the Fossat Health Center which results in health sports offered to members. In short, this association offers a wide range of free and local services, all year round, including summer. But this requires a strong voluntary investment, as Francis Sans recalled, calling on members not only to be consumers. The activity and financial reports, respectively presented by the Secretary and the Treasurer, were unanimously approved. The prospects for the Foyer Rural, particularly for 2025, are interesting and should offer, as in the past, something to satisfy more and more members. We will have the opportunity to return to it in our columns.
