Our Fenerbahçe Opet Women’s Basketball Team was the guest of Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring in the 16th week match of the ING Women’s Basketball Super League. Winning the derby match played at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall 65-61, the Queens of the Crucible maintained their undefeated title by making 13 out of 13 in the league.

The Queens of the Basket, who started the match with Tina Charles, Emma Meesseman, Gabby Williams, Ariel Atkins and Sevgi Uzun, finished the first period behind 22-14 against the host team, which was effective with Julie Vanloo. Fenerbahçe Opet started the second period well and took the lead 31-30 with the points scored by Tina Charles and forced its opponent to take a timeout. Continuing their good play in the remaining periods, the Queens of the Crucible entered the locker room ahead 37-36. The home team regained its game rhythm in the third period and went into the deciding quarter ahead 55-48. The Queens of the Basket started the last quarter with a great comeback with the outside shooting contribution from Tina Charles and Sevgi Uzun and took the lead 61-60. Continuing its superiority in the remaining parts of the period, Fenerbahçe maintained its undefeated title by leaving the field victorious 65-61.
