In a podcast hosted by his brother Félix, Kroos revealed, “We will have to assess various factors, such as how the season is progressing and if I am asked to continue. I will ask myself the same questions as I do now, and then we will make a decision.”

Kroos expressed his satisfaction with the renewal, emphasizing the mutual respect between him and the club. He acknowledged that Real Madrid could have pressured him into extending his contract, but they respected his wishes. “I made it clear what I wanted, so they were aware of my position. I feel that I can still perform at a high level, and I am grateful for this opportunity,” Kroos stated. He also credited his wife for her support, recounting how she encouraged him to make the decision that would make him happiest.
