Nairobi, Kenya – Frédéric Lacroix is leading at the Magical Kenya Open presented by absa after a remarkable second round at the Karen Country Club. His performance puts him at the top of the leaderboard with a total score of -13 (127), tied with South Africa’s Casey Jarvis.

Impressive Second Round

Benefiting from favorable playing conditions, Lacroix carded an immaculate 62 (-8) on Friday. This included eight birdies evenly distributed across both nines of the course. Jarvis is close behind, having also posted a 62 in the previous round and a 65 today.

Season Best for Lacroix

This 62 represents Lacroix’s best card this season on the DP World Tour. In five tournaments played, he hadn’t previously broken 69. He has consistently performed well, avoiding a cut since the start of the 2025-26 season, with a previous best finish of 24th place at the Qatar Masters.

Lacroix emphasized the importance of accuracy on this course. On this type of course, if you miss your throw, it can quickly become complicated. He explained that managing the game, knowing when to be aggressive and when to play conservatively, is key to success.

This performance matches a previous 63 (-8) during the 4th round of the Turkish Airlines Open in May 2025. He also scored a 62 (-10) in September 2022 during the first round of the Alfred Dunhill Links in Scotland.
