Kylian Mbappe was left out of the squad as he continues to recover from an injury ahead of last month’s UEFA Nations League match. This time, however, he is fully fit. But Didier Deschamps announced his squad today on Thursday (07 November) ahead of the matches against Israel and Italy this month. However, Mbappe was not included in that team.
This time, however, the reason for not keeping is different. Real star went to play in Sweden in October. A case has been filed against him accusing him of rape. However, Mbappe denied the incident and claimed his innocence. But coach Desham asked Mbappe to prove himself innocent.
When asked the reason for not keeping Mbappe, Desham said, ‘It is my responsibility to take the decision. I feel better without him. I don’t want to argue about this. I can tell you only two things. One, Mbappe wanted to come. Two, it’s actually a problem outside of sports. He must be proven innocent.’
In the absence of Mbappe, Rondal Kolo Mwani and Christopher Nkunko will be in France’s attack. Last month, however, in the absence of Mbappe, they both spread light. Muani scored in a 2-1 win over Belgium. And scored an assist in a 4-1 win over Israel.
Apart from Mbappe, Orléans Chuomeni is not in the team. He is injured. He was also banned for one match after seeing a red card against Belgium. Lille’s 23-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier has been replaced by Alphonse Areola.
France will play against Israel at home on November 15 and Italy on November 18.
