Ambre Paillex has reached a significant milestone in her badminton career, becoming the first player from the US Léguevin club to achieve the N3 ranking in singles. This accomplishment marks a proud moment for both Paillex and the club, showcasing the dedication and talent fostered within the Léguevin badminton program.

A Passion Ignited in 2017

Paillex began her badminton journey in 2017, inspired by her mother’s involvement in the sport. She initially joined the Léguevin club and has been registered with the AFB for the past two years.

“I find that badminton is a sport endowed with important values such as fair play, respect, perseverance, commitment and team spirit. It is a sport which combines physique, technique and tactics. It requires a certain speed in rallies, endurance, good coordination, and above all concentration throughout a match. This sport has taught me to surpass myself, to persevere and to manage my emotions, especially in matches. I also participate in senior interclubs in team 1 in Fonsorbes for the second year with the objective since the beginning of moving up to the regional level,”

Pride and Motivation

Reaching the N3 ranking is a source of immense pride for Paillex. She views it as not only a personal achievement but also an honor to be the first in the club to reach this level.

“I am incredibly proud to have reached N3 in singles. It is an additional motivation to continue to progress. I see the fact of being the first in the club to reach this level as a real honor. When I learned about it, I felt a lot of joy and pride. It motivates me even more for the future.”

Looking Ahead: Goals and Improvements

Paillex’s immediate goal is to solidify her position as an N3 player, while remaining prepared for potential challenges. She is focused on refining her game, addressing areas for improvement, and continuing to push her physical limits.

Her strengths lie in her striking power and lobs on the backhand side. She aims to improve her overall game vision during matches and enhance her physical conditioning.

Long-term, Paillex aspires to reach the N1 level, demonstrating her ambition and commitment to the sport.

A Club Represented on the National Stage

Paillex’s success extends beyond her individual achievements. She, along with Gilles Castillon, represented US Léguevin in the torch relay in Toulouse on May 17, 2024, as part of a collective relay of 24 badminton players. Castillon, a founder and former president of the club, is also heavily involved in badminton administration at the regional and national levels, including preparations for Paris 2024.
