A great result to close an amazing 2024 season for the Vigadeo Badminton Club players in Vigo at the Galicia Top Tier Christmas Tournament this Saturday 28th December. Four gold and one silver were won in this competition. The golden ones were: Mateo Amor in the boys’ under-11, Mateo Amor himself and Joel Alonso in the boys’ under-13s, Nadia Alonso in the girls’ under-13s, and Nadia Alonso herself and Alvaro Seijo competing in the under-13s. Silver was won by Joel Alonso in the under 13 men’s category. Furthermore, Eneco Rodriguez competed well in the under-15 category, placing two above himself. Highlight of Matteo Amore and Nadia Alonso’s doubles champion. With these results, Vegadeo Badminton Club closed the season with 98 gold medals in Spain, two Spanish Under-11 runners-up and third place in the Spanish Under-11 Championship, with several Asturians. Championship as well as numerous silver and bronze medals from various competitions held throughout Spain. The next commitment of Vigadeo Badminton Club will be opening the new 2025 season with the U-15 and U-19 Masters on Saturday January 11 in Salceda de Casellas in Pontevedra (Vigo).
