For the second year in a row, the Italian “Fiorentina” will play in the final of the third strongest European club tournament – the League of Conferences.
In Belgium, the team from Florence drew 1:1 with “Bruges” and after the 3:2 success of the first meeting enters the decisive trophy match with a total score of 4:3.
In it, “Fiorentina” is the winner of the match between “Olympiakos” and “Aston Villa”, and the Greeks have a solid lead from the first match in England 4:2. The final is on June 29 in Athens.
Last year, “Fiorentina” lost dramatically 1:2 to the English “West Ham” with a goal in the last minute.
In the 20th minute, Hans Vanaken opened for “Bruges”. In the 85th minute, from a penalty, Lucas Bertrand equalized and put the visitors ahead.
Odoi from the hosts was sent off in the extra time. Former Ludogorets striker Igor Thiago played a full match for Club Brugge and received a yellow card.
