Partizan Mozzart Bet suffered an unexpected defeat against Igokea at Stark Arena during matchday seven of the ABA League. However, the match was overshadowed by a violent incident involving a fan and a player from the Serbian team.

The club confirmed that the fan “behaved very inappropriately” towards one of the Partizan players. Although no official names were disclosed, it was widely reported that the player in question was Uros Trifunovic.

In response to this incident, Partizan has taken decisive action by permanently banning the fan from attending any future matches held by the team.

“On Sunday, November 12, after the final whistle of the match between Partizan Mozzart Bet and Igokea, an unpleasant situation unfolded on the sidelines. Following our team’s defeat, a spectator from the section near the field displayed behavior that not only marred the match but also tarnished the reputation of KK Partizan,” the club stated.

The club promptly identified the individual responsible for the incident and initiated disciplinary proceedings against them. The decision to ban the person from entering the stadium during all home matches was made in order to protect the integrity of the players, the field, and the reputation of KK Partizan.

“With this action, the club aims to send a clear message that incidents of this nature will not be tolerated, now or in the future,” Partizan emphasized.

In the Euroleague, the reigning ABA champions currently hold a 3-4 record and are set to face Bayern in Munich in the upcoming eighth round on November 15. In the regional competition, Partizan has suffered defeats against Mega and Igokea, placing them behind Buducnost and Estrella Roja with a 6-1 record.
