EXAMIA Pioneers with Scholarships for Young Judo Talent in Spain

EXAMIA’s Groundbreaking Initiative

EXAMIA, an educational company with a strong presence in the province of Huelva, Spain, has become the first of its kind to offer official scholarships to young judokas.

“We believe the discipline and sacrifice required in judo is similar to that necessary to pass an official exam in English,” explains Ricardo Freires, director of EXAMIA. “Cambridge English,” he adds.

  • Direct aid of up to €200 for federated Cadet category judokas who medal in the Spanish U-18 Championship.
  • Recognition and financial rewards for the best English students who pass official Cambridge English exams and their teachers.
  • Combined rewards of up to €1,000 for students who achieve both national medals in judo and top Cambridge English grades.

  • David García Torné, Olympic judoka who will participate in Paris 2024.
  • Asier Murillo, champion of Spain in the -60 kg category.
