EWE Baskets Oldenburg to Host ‘FUTURE DAY’ with Teddy Toss and DKMS Registration

Published: March 2, 2026

Oldenburg Prioritizes Sustainability and Social Commitment

The EWE Baskets Oldenburg will host FUTURE DAY on March 6th at 6:30 p.m. During their home game against Telekom Baskets Bonn. The event will highlight the team’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility through a series of initiatives.

Make it Rain Cuddly Toys: First-Ever Teddy Toss

Fans are encouraged to participate in the first-ever teddy toss at a home game in the EWE Arena. Attendees are asked to bring a cuddly toy – no larger than DIN A4 size – and throw it onto the court at the designated signal.

“Every single cuddly toy represents warmth, comfort and a smile. Together we want to fill the parquet floor – and then make children’s eyes light up.”

The collected toys will be donated to social institutions for children in the region in cooperation with the Lions Club Lambertus, who will have a stand in the foyer.

DKMS Stem Cell Registration

Before the game, fans will have the opportunity to register with DKMS, an international non-profit organization dedicated to finding stem cell donors for individuals with blood cancer. Registration is available on-site and is described as a modest step that can save lives..

More information about DKMS can be found at https://www.dkms.de/informieren/ueber-die-dkms.

Raffle for Signed Shooting Shirts

Fans can enter a raffle to win special, limited-edition shooting shirts worn by the players during the game. Participation requires scanning a QR code located throughout the EWE Arena to complete a survey. Winners will be selected randomly and notified via email.
