“I needed the book to come out in 2024, it was a goal, because thirteen is a number of transformation,” she explains.

“I wanted to deliver, deliver, compile, everything I could find after this trauma. »

A year and a half of work to put down on paper, with the writer Stéphanie Bara, her aggression, the break with her previous life. All stages of its reconstruction are dissected, without embellishment. The trial, the stories of witnesses, a new job in Madagascar as an escape, the birth of his son, his encounter with yoga. Her anger, her incomprehension, her relationships with her parents and friends, shaken by the inner storm she is experiencing.

“I wanted to deliver, deliver, compile, everything I could find after this trauma. Writing is a therapeutic tool. I had to immerse myself in this story, I reread everything, all the hearings, I did interviews with my loved ones, I had to find the victim who was in me, I had the courage to do so. to do and as a result, I found a new dynamic with more internal security. »

Far from appearing

Today, having finished her career in large hotels, she has retrained as a yoga teacher and offers therapy and coaching throughout France. “With this book, I want to show my journey, so that people who are experiencing difficulties say to themselves that it is possible to get through it, I am convinced that I can help, in healing trauma. »

Laurence Doisy also returned to Charente, to Cognac. The format of the book is original, short chapters, a non-linear layout and illustrations by Natacha Huser. “The words weren’t strong enough for me. The image will speak to the emotional brain, it is very symbolic. I wanted this combination, I like to break out of boxes, to offer new things. »

The name of the book is also a play on words “En-vie”, with a hyphen representing his neck injury. “The desire to want,” jokes Laurence Doisy, but also “life, because that day, I should have died and there was panic on board, it would have been an aberration to die with the life that I had, today, if it were to happen to me, I am more at peace with the life I live. »

After this book, Laurence Doisy is thinking of creating an association to help victims, with “online support groups, perhaps”.
