Arsenal has bolstered its defensive options with the addition of Ecuador international Piero Hincapie on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen. The 23-year-old defender brings a wealth of experience at both the club and international levels.

• Won the U20 Copa Libertadores in 2020 with Independiente del Valle.
• Spent a season with Argentine Primera Division side Talleres before joining Leverkusen in 2021.
• Has made over 100 appearances for Leverkusen, helping them secure the 2023/24 Bundesliga title.
• Has earned 46 caps for Ecuador, featuring in the 2022 World Cup and Copa America tournaments in 2021 and 2024.
