Softball Weekend Set for July 31 – August 2

The Coors Light / Dépanneur du Lac Eastern Ball League will host a softball weekend open to the entire regional population from July 31 to August 2.

Tournament and Game Highlights

The location for the event is still to be determined, with Stade Fournier in Matane as a potential venue, contingent on the senior baseball schedule.

A friendly tournament featuring four teams – Cap-Chat, Saint-Tarcisius, Lac-au-Saumon, and Sayabec – will be held on Saturday. This will be a participatory regional championship.

A highlight of the weekend will be a ball game showcasing players from the past and present of the Castors de Matane.

Additional events include a home run competition and activities for youth players.

Doubleheader Planned

On Sunday, a doubleheader is scheduled between Matane and Rimouski. Further details regarding the weekend’s events will be released by the league soon.

Supporting a Cause

Proceeds from the 50/50 draw and hot dog sales will be donated to a cause that will be announced at a later date.
