Daniel Beichler Named New Head Coach of Red Bull Salzburg
SALZBURG, Austria – FC Red Bull Salzburg has announced the appointment of Daniel Beichler as its new head coach, effective immediately. Beichler, previously at the helm of the club’s partner team, FC Liefering, has signed a contract with the Red Bulls that extends through June 30, 2028.
A Familiar Face Returns to Salzburg
Beichler is well-known within Salzburg and Austrian football circles. The former Austrian international brings a wealth of professional experience, having made 144 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga and competing in European leagues.
Extensive Coaching Background
Beichler began his coaching career in 2016 with JAZ Süd. He joined the Red Bull system in 2021, successfully leading the Red Bull Academy’s U14, U16, and U18 teams (winning two league titles). He also coached the UEFA Youth League team, guiding them to the Final Four with impressive performances, before taking charge of FC Liefering for over two years.

Beichler will create his debut on the Red Bulls’ bench this coming Sunday in a crucial Bundesliga match against second-placed LASK. He will be joined by Raphael Ikache, his assistant from Liefering, who will serve as his co-coach for the final three games of the Bundesliga regular season.
