Season Overview

The 2026 season marks the 18th year for Gangwon FC, and their 15th competing in the K League 1. The club will participate in K League 1, the Korea Cup, and the 2025-26 Champions League Elite competition.

Gangwon FC as well has the opportunity to qualify for the 2026–27 AFC Champions League Two, dependent on the performance of other K League 1 teams in the 2025–26 Champions League Elite and Two competitions.
