Riccardo Daltoè Secures Podium Spot

In a monumental achievement, Riccardo Daltoè has secured a podium finish at the Italian Trophy’s Under 15 category, held in Riccione on Saturday, October 11. The Ventimiglia Judo Club athlete, competing in the over 81kg category, finished third, marking his third consecutive podium in the Trofeo Italia races.

“Riccardo’s performance was extraordinary,” said coach Antonella Iannucci, who followed the athletes throughout the competition. “He fought against much heavier opponents and came out on top, proving his competitiveness at this weight.”

Daltoè’s triumphant display earned him direct qualification for the A1 series of the Italian Under 15 Championships in December, to be held at Lido di Ostia.

Gabriel De Lucia’s Impressive Debut

Gabriel De Lucia, competing for the first time in the 50kg category, showcased remarkable improvement with a 11th place finish among 62 contenders. “Gabriel’s progress from race to race is tangible,” Iannucci noted. “He’s adapting well to the high level of these competitions.”

Club Reflects on Success

At the end of a long day of competitions, Ventimiglia Judo Club reflects on their success with pride. “We are extremely satisfied with the results of both boys,” they said. “Such high-level placings show we’re on the right track. We thank the families for their support and look ahead to the next federal competitions.”
