On Saturday from 6:30 pm there will be a shot placed next to the City Fountains, and on Sunday from 3 to 8 pm at Mladost Stadium.

An athletic spectacle at the Mladost Stadium near the Sava River that begins Sunday at 3 p.m., and this year’s meeting brought 19 Olympic medal winners from Paris. For the spectators in the stadium, the two biggest stars were the discus players Sandra Elkasević i Valarie Allman. Four Olympic golds from the last four Olympic Games, Sandra in London and Rio, Valerie in Tokyo and Paris.

Sandra Elkasević entered the competition in a good mood:

– This year is busy with the European Championship and the Olympic Games, and the season is not over yet because my favorite meeting is almost here. I continue to work in Medulin, I feel good, I threw my best result of the season a few days ago and I expect support in the big fight with the Olympic winner Valarie Allman. I have 11 victories at the Hanžeković Memorial, this is my 17th appearance, after the first one in 2006. So this competition is very important for me. I’m still chasing the Diamond League trophy, I hope Zagreb will give me strength for that – said Sandra.
