High BP i.e. high blood pressure can lead to life-threatening conditions like heart attack or stroke. However, the good thing is that blood pressure can be easily controlled through diet and healthy lifestyle. However, carelessness with health can put your life in trouble. Nowadays the problem of BP is increasing the most among the youth. Blood pressure problems have started due to extreme anger, irritability, stress and unhealthy eating.

  • Do not drink alcohol or cigarettes- It is important for a hypertension patient to stay away from alcohol and cigarettes. Drinking too much alcohol can increase blood pressure. At the same time, smoking is also dangerous for your heart. Smoking cigarettes increases BP. Due to which the risk of heart attack and stroke increases.

  • Keep weight under control- Being overweight or obese increases the risk of high blood pressure. The problem of BP can be reduced by maintaining healthy weight. The problem of diabetes can also increase due to weight gain. Therefore keep obesity under control.

  • Reduce stress- Nowadays, after obesity, stress is becoming the root of all problems. Try to somehow control stress in your life. This will not only improve your physical health but also your mental health. The main cause of hypertension is tension. Therefore, try your best to keep your mind calm and work on ways to reduce stress.
