Connor Fields named MVP, Dyson Williams takes home Rookie of the Year
PHILADELPHIA — The National Lacrosse League (NLL) has unveiled the major award winners for the 2024-25 season, with Rochester Knighthawks’ Connor Fields earning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors, and Albany FireWolves’ Dyson Williams claiming the Rookie of the Year title.
Connor Fields: The league’s most electrifying scorer
Fields, the Rochester Knighthawks’ offensive dynamo, has been named the Most Valuable Player of the year. Known for his precision shooting and playmaking abilities, Fields was also selected for the First Team All-NLL.
“Connor Fields has been an absolute force this season,” said NLL Commissioner, Nick Sakiewicz. “His consistency and clutch performances have solidified him as one of the league’s most electrifying scorers and playmakers.”
Dyson Williams: Living up to the hype
Albany FireWolves’ Dyson Williams has been named the Rookie of the Year. The former Duke standout made an immediate impact, showcasing his elite scoring touch and lacrosse IQ, becoming a key piece of Albany’s attack.
“Dyson Williams has been a revelation this season,” Sakiewicz added. “His ability to contribute right away has been instrumental in Albany’s success.”

- First Team All-NLL: Connor Fields (Rochester), Dhane Smith (Buffalo), Matt Hossack (Saskatchewan), Ryan Dilks (Vancouver), Owen Grant (Vancouver), Frank Scigliano (Saskatchewan).
- Second Team All-NLL: Josh Byrne (Buffalo), Jeff Teat (Ottawa), Mitch de Snoo (Philadelphia), Graeme Hossack (Halifax), Ryan Terefenko (Halifax), Matt Vinc (Buffalo).
