Conegliano, Italy – The city of Conegliano is set to become the judo capital of Europe this weekend, hosting the prestigious European Open Judo Championships from November 8-9. With 37 nations and 310 judokas descending upon the Prealpi San Biagio Arena, the event promises to showcase the highest levels of technical skill and sportsmanship.

Italian Judokas Aim for Podium Success

More than 60 Italian judokas will compete, representing a strong contingent aiming to make their mark on the international stage. Some of the standout names include:

  • Kenya Perna and Giulia Italia De Luca in the -52 kg category
  • Silvia Pellitteri, Elena Storione, and Emma Stoppari in the -57 kg category

Competition begins on Saturday with the female categories -63 kg, -70 kg, -78 kg, +78 kg and male -60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg. Sunday will feature the remaining categories: -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg, -81 kg, -90 kg, -100 kg, +100 kg.
