Denver Pioneers Host Colorado Cup This Weekend

DENVER – The University of Denver men’s tennis team is set to host the much-anticipated Colorado Cup this Friday through Sunday at the Denver Tennis Park.

Here’s What You Need to Know

  • Joining the Pioneers are Air Force, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, and Montana State. Grand Canyon and Montana State will combine to form one team for the weekend.
  • Matches will be played in a hidden-dual format each day, starting at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.. The schedule includes:
    1. Friday: Denver vs. GCU/MSU, Air Force vs. Gonzaga
    2. Saturday: Air Force vs. GCU/MSU, Denver vs. Gonzaga
    3. Sunday: Gonzaga vs. GCU/MSU, Denver vs. Air Force
  • Admission is free, and matches are expected to be played indoors.

The Pioneers’ Roster

Doubles pairings are yet to be announced.

“We’re excited to welcome these teams to Denver and showcase our team’s hard work and skills,” said Pioneers Head Coach Nicktapoulis Pantazopoulos.

Looking Ahead

Following the Colorado Cup, the Pioneers will travel to LMU for the LMU Invite on November 7-9.
