Linda Caicedo, a Colombian football player, has secured a spot as a first-place finalist in FIFA’s prestigious “The Best” awards. She shares the honor with Aitana Bonmati and Jennifer Hermoso.

FIFA acknowledges Linda’s accomplishments, including her participation in the Colombian national team during the World Cup, where she scored a goal. Additionally, her remarkable performance against Germany in the competition held in Australia and New Zealand earned her the title of “Hyundai Goal of the Tournament.”

Success in Domestic Competitions

Furthermore, Linda reached the final stages of the Copa de la Reina with Real Madrid and the Liga Femenina de España, solidifying her position as a top player in both national and international competitions.

Tough Competition for the Best Player Award

Linda faced fierce competition from her rivals, Aitana Bonmati and Jennifer Hermoso, both prominent figures in the Spanish leagues and world championships.

Aitana, who recently received the Golden Ball award, not only holds a world title with Spain but also plays for Barcelona in the Spanish League.

The winner of “The Best” award will be announced at a gala event scheduled for December 15, 2024, in London, England.
