Sporting Charleroi has officially appointed Nicolas Frutos as its new Sporting Director. The arrival of Frutos has sparked considerable discussion, with club chairman Mehdi Bayat detailing the Argentinian’s pivotal role in shaping the club’s future.

Negotiations: A Natural Progression

The agreement between Sporting Charleroi and Nicolas Frutos came together relatively quickly, with initial contact occurring just weeks prior to the announcement.

Frutos explained, “I remember that at the time, I called my wife just before my first meeting with Mehdi. Speculation linked Frutos with a potential move to Anderlecht, but the new Sporting Director firmly dismissed those rumors.
