The athlete Josely Julieth Moreno Murillo, a student at the Manuel E. Rivas Lobón Educational Institution, located in Andagoya, municipality of Medio San Juan, won a gold medal and became champion in the discus throw event at the 2024 National Intercollegiate Games .
The young Moreno Murillo achieved a mark of 26.60 meters in the discus throw. With this there are already two medals achieved by this Chocoan promise, since he also achieved a silver medal in shot put with a mark of 9.81 meters.
Moreno Murillo’s triumphs are the result of his dedication and effort, as well as constant training under the supervision of his coach, Luis Carlos Valencia Urrutia, who has been key in his sports training, to raise the name of Chocó and the Medio San Juan in the national sports field.
