Inter Milan currently holds a commanding ten-point lead at the top of Serie A, but their cup run has presented challenges. The team recently faced elimination from the Champions League. Chivu explained the need for a change in approach against Como.

“They are so great at keeping the ball, passing it around and drawing you out to then attack the space. We did well to understand what we needed to do, and were fortunate in a couple of situations.”

With a crucial Serie A clash against rivals AC Milan looming, Chivu is carefully managing his squad. The match is considered a potential title decider.

“We’ve got four days before the derby, we’ll see who is available, and then decide what to do for that match.”
