RALEIGH, N.C. — Sebastian Aho scored 4:29 into overtime to give the Carolina Hurricanes a thrilling 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night. The victory was the Hurricanes’ sixth in their last eight games, improving their overtime record to a perfect 4-0.
“It was a great team effort,” said Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour. “We battled back from behind, and that’s what good teams do.”
Svechnikov’s Stellar Performance
- Andrei Svechnikov had two goals and an assist, including a pair of goals scored just 54 seconds apart in the first period.
- Taylor Hall also scored for the Hurricanes, with Shayne Gostisbehere recording three assists.
- Pyotr Kochetkov made 14 saves to secure the win for Carolina.
