Ten Italian tourists were injured in an accident near the archaeological site of Machu Picchuin Peru, at 11:15 local time on September 16. According to local police reconstructions, the bus they were on went off the road while traveling between the Inca citadel and the city of Aguas Calientes, falling about fifteen meters. The injured, thirty in total, were transported to the hospital in Cuzco, where they are currently hospitalized. They are Luciana Bonfada, 35 (frontal fracture); Angelo Florile, 33 (multiple trauma); Giorgio Quiagliaroli, 47 (fracture of the right leg); Dario Florio, 46 (multiple trauma); Gabriela Cristoforini, 48 (tibia-fibula fracture); Elisabetta Panzeri, 44 (psychosomatic fracture); Paolo Daledo, 38 (trauma to the right leg); Greta Raimondi, 35 (trauma to the right leg); Fabio Ficci, 36 (blow to the right hand); Matteo Vigano, 33 (multiple trauma). The other injured are Chinese, Mexican, Guatemalan, Chilean and Japanese.
