Bunting Claims Premier League Darts Victory in Belfast Amidst Rock’s Nine-Darter
Stephen Bunting defeated Gian van Veen 6-2 to win night four of the Premier League Darts in Belfast. The evening was also highlighted by a spectacular nine-dart finish from Josh Rock, electrifying the home crowd.
Bunting’s Road to Victory
‘The Bullet’ had previously failed to secure a win in this year’s tournament, but overcame defending champion Luke Humphries in the quarterfinals and then convincingly defeated Jonny Clayton 6-0 to reach the final.
Van Veen, having reached the previous two nightly finals in his debut campaign, secured a comfortable win over Rock despite the Northern Irishman’s perfect leg. He then progressed through a closely contested semi-final against Gerwyn Price.
Bunting took control of the final early on, establishing a 5-1 lead before closing out the match on double top.
