Easy Car International Basket Imola savors the comeback coup, but Tinti makes Budrio celebrate

A good Easy Car Imola is not enough to get the better of Budrio, the second force in group B. The red and white comeback fades in the final and comes the defeat 83-89 in the last home match of the regular season.
At the start Sinatra and Ricci Lucchi are lively and lead the International to 19-13 after 8 minutes, then the game turns. Turrini and Mencherini (2 triples) scored an 8-0 run in favor of the guests between the first two quarters, a break that expanded to even become a 15-2. Easy Car is tense, forces offensive solutions and struggles to circulate the ball, scoring just 12 points in 10 minutes.
The first half ended at 31-43, coach Serio’s boys played a different second half, more determined and compact, closing the gap for the first time at 54-58 in the 27th minute. And here begins a non-stop back and forth: Budrio is a strong team and reacts with an immediate 6-0 thanks to two triples from Tinti, while International continues to fight despite the much energy expended and finds itself at 70-77 at the 36′, which then becomes 80-84 with 43″ to go. In the following action Baldassarri scores from long range, bringing his team back to -1 (83-84) with 20″ to play. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter, yet another bomb from Tinti (6 in total) and a counterattack annihilate Imola’s hopes.
Despite having suffered a defeat, the red and whites emerge with their heads held high in front of a team that will participate in the playoffs. Ricci Lucchi is the top scorer of the match with 23 points, 10/17 shooting, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Troisi achieved a double double with 19 points, 10 rebounds (including 6 very precious offensive ones) and 11/13 on the free throw line, including a streak of 11 consecutive free throws scored. Sinatra totaled 13 points with 3 triples and 5 assists, Baldassarri 11 with 4/8 from the field, 8 rebounds and 2 steals, Roli 10 and 2 triples.
Now the last three rounds of DR1 include trips to Bertinoro and Faenza, before the final rest round. We are also waiting for the results from the other fields to certify direct salvation.
